As President of Belluschi Consulting, Anthony Belluschi, FAIA offers nearly 40 years of international experience in the planning and conceptual design of large-scale commercial, retail, office, hotel, and mixed-use developments for owners, developers, and design firms. Major completed projects include the 1.8M sf Park Meadows Retail Resort in Littleton, Colorado; the redevelopment of Les Quatre Temps Center in Paris, an international competition won in collaboration with OWP/P and SRA Architects; and North Bridge, a new high-rise hotel/retail complex at 520 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. Other recently completed projects include the new 20-story 550 West Jackson Boulevard office building in Chicago, Illinois; the new Granada Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a competition won in collaboration with ZFP Architects; and the interior architecture of the new MetroCity retail, residential, and office complex in Istanbul, Turkey, done in collaboration with Tekeli/Sisa Architects. Currently, Mr. Belluschi is involved in the planning and design of new large-scale urban mixed-use commercial projects in Egypt, Oman, China, Korea, France, and Canada, as well as projects in Chicago, Denver, Detroit, and New York. Since its founding in 1984, Mr. Belluschi's former firm, Anthony Belluschi Architects, won numerous design awards from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and Assopiastrelle (Ceramic tiles of Italy). The firm also earned several Superior Achievement in Design and Imaging awards. In 2000, Anthony Belluschi Architects merged with OWP/P. After leaving OWP/P in 2003, Mr. Belluschi formed Belluschi Consulting, an international architectural consulting practice that entered into a strategic alliance with Perkins Eastman in 2005. Mr. Belluschi is the first Rhode Island School of Design graduate in the design school's 127 year history to assume the top leadership position of Chairman of the Board of Trustees. In 2003, the American Institute of Architects elected Anthony Belluschi into its College of Fellows (FAIA). |
